Charli XCX Portrays a Hell Version of Her Own Identity in Fictional Documentary Teaser
The Grammy-winning artist is preparing for a significant big screen presence in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
In the film, the artist embodies what she refers to as a hell version of her public image.
It’s the truest representation of the entertainment world that I’ve ever witnessed, the star remarked.
She elaborated in an interview: This isn’t a concert film, yet the concept stemmed from the demand to make one.
A Sneak Peek into The Film
The first teaser, launched on this week, mixes authentic footage from her live performances with fictionalized backstage scenes.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by the director, who explained that the story revolves around a world where Charli opted for alternate decisions throughout the marketing of her hugely successful record Brat.

Soundtrack Involvement
The month of February will also see the debut of the filmmaker’s version of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from the artist.
She will also compose the score for the film Mother Mary, with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release soon.
The Moment will be released on the 30th of January.
